The festive period can be a challenging time for both individuals and families. Isolation and rising costs mean that for some Christmas is a lonely and stressful time. We want to help combat this and need your help.

Being a volunteer is a rewarding experience; knowing that giving up your time is making a positive difference to someone else's wellbeing. You will be offering companionship to someone who may otherwise feel alone this Christmas and you will be providing a warm festive space and meal to individuals, couples, families and children who may have gone without this year.

Volunteering during Christmas is a wonderful way to spread goodwill, experience something different, meet new people and create a tangible impact within your greater community.

All of our volunteers should be able to work with the Board and its organisation missions and values, be flexible, able to Jingle & Mingle and most importantly, have a good sense of humour!

Give the Gift of Presence This Christmas

Event Co-ordinators

Do you have good organisational and communication skills? If so, we are looking for event co-ordinators at our venues. The role will involve exploring venues, local catering options and to coordinate the overall event at your venue with your team of volunteers and your guests on Christmas Day. You will be fully supported in this role and be in direct contact with our Management Team throughout.

We will also recruit and train your team of volunteers and manage all guest bookings.

Table Hosts & Servers

As a table host you will be responsible for hosting your table during during the event, helping to serve up meals, keep conversation flowing and ensure everyone is having a great time.

Other volunteering roles

As well as the front of house roles we are also looking for a number of support roles to help ensure things run smoothly on the day. These include:

  • Catering Crew

    To help heat pre-prepared food on the day and serve up for our guests.

  • Drivers

    So we can make our event accessible for all, we are looking for drivers to help collect and drop off anyone with significant mobility issues at your venue. Please note you must be over 25 years of age, have a PVG, a clean driving license and business use insurance.

  • First Aiders & Safeguarders

    Our events are required to have each of these at the venue so if you have relevant qualifications and are able to volunteer then we would love to hear from you. Training can also be provided.
